Description
Bayeaux – famous for it’s tapestry, but thanks to the fact it wasn’t destroyed during the D-Day landings it is an unspoilt beautiful medieval town. Even fifty years ago water mills like this would have been a common sight all over Europe. Every village had a mill and lots of mills still had their water wheels, left over from the days before they had electricity and before milling became industrialised. Find out more here.
